Avatar(2009)20 Available Subtitles

If your group of 10 or more people would like to see a movie with Open Captions, please fill out this Open Caption Inquiry form. Requests are only available for movies that are currently being shown at participating theatres. Requests will be approved based on availability. Please note that the show requested, if approved, will differ from a Private Theatre Rental in that the showtime will be public and available for other patrons to purchase. Captioning is also available for Private Theatre Rentals.

To change the default subtitles language in Settings, go to Settings > Video and Audio > Audio > Subtitle Language, then choose the language that you want. If you don't want automatic subtitles and you're using an Apple TV, go to Settings > Video and Audio, then turn off Automatic Subtitles. If you're using a smart TV or streaming device, go to Settings > General, then turn off Automatic Subtitles.

If you don't see subtitles or language options, they might not be available for that show or movie. Check the show or movie descriptions page in the Apple TV app to find out what subtitles or languages are available.

You can also just press H and G while the video is running to align the subtitles backward and forward in time; for the voice use J and K. The increments are in milliseconds, so it can be pretty easily fine tuned that way.

The best way to synchronize your subtitles is not via VLC (tho it is possible). To permanently synchronize subtitles you would need to use tools like SubtitleWorkshop and through that tool you can easily edit subtitles the way you want, even set first and last spoken like synchronize subtitles even with more accuracy.

Alright so basically as the title says. I have Batman Begins that doesn't come with subtitles but I'm wondering if there is another way to cast the film with subtitles. My first thought was something like using MX Player to cast the film and add the subtitles through there but I just can't seem to get a way of it working.

Thanks for the note. To select a caption track, press the * key during playback and go to Accessibility - Captioning track. From here, you should be able to select from the available captioning track. If you encounter an issue with any caption track, please feel free to follow up with Disney+ support to report the issue and request additional help.

Quit Disney on the TCL. On an phone, tablet, etc. launch the Disney app, (with the same account) select the movie you want with subtitles and select the language (upper right corner). Check it has the right subtitles, stop it and launch the Disney app on the TCL, selecto and play the movie. It should have the right subtitle language.

I have the same problem and the * is not the solution as I have it set for english subtitles and the subtitles on my TCL tv with Roku built in are always in english EXCEPT on the Disney+ app. On every other device the Disney+ app has the advertised closed caption button in the top right.

Some channel manages its own content programming, including closed captions and subtitles on contents. Reach out to the channel If changing the captions on the Roku settings does not resolve the issue.

The quick answer is yes, you can, and you already know how to do it. When you get inside the Audio & Subtitles menu, use the arrow keys on your remote to navigate right. Then choose the preferred language from the list and check it.Most of the Disney Plus content supports more than twenty different subtitle languages. However, some exotic fonts and letters might not be available. Anyway, you should see the subtitles language preview as soon as you make the selection. But this isn't always the case, especially with certain streaming gadgets and Smart TVs.To find the culprit, you should double-check the in-app setting. That is, make sure the Disney Plus subtitles are off. Then proceed to inspect the option on your Roku, Firestick, or any other streaming gadget you might have.Afterward, you can resume playback to determine if the subtitles are gone. Sometimes this doesn't help, and you'll need to tweak the TV settings.Mind you, turning off subtitles on streaming devices and TVs applies across the board, not just particular content. And the Disney Plus app should be able to override those to prevent annoying issues." , "@type": "Question", "name": "Can Text Size Be Adjusted?", "acceptedAnswer": "@type": "Answer", "text": "Yes, you can adjust the text size. Within the Subtitles\/ Closed Captions menu, you'll be able to find different text sizes expressed in percentages. All you need to do is select the desired percentage, and the subtitles will automatically scale to that. But there's a catch.Depending on your device, the text might appear too big or too small. This issue is a common occurrence with certain Android smartphones, for example. On the other hand, if your streaming device allows you to change the overall text size, you won't need to tamper with the Disney Plus settings. For example, if you're using an iPhone or Android device, head over to the Accessibility Settings on your device. From here, you can customize your subtitles' font, size, and even color in most cases. The same options are available on an Xbox and PS4\/5 under the Closed Captioning settings." , "@type": "Question", "name": "Can the Font Size Be Changed?", "acceptedAnswer": "@type": "Answer", "text": "You can easily change the font size from the Disney Plus Audio & Subtitles settings. Not only that, but the menu allows you to change the font color, opacity, and edge style. 1. To access this option, navigate to Audio & Subtitles and select Settings. 2. Choose the Font Size you like under the corresponding tab and check the preview in the window at the top of the menu. For some devices, like Xbox One, you'd probably need to use a much bigger font than the original. " , "@type": "Question", "name": "My Subtitles Aren't Syncing Properly. What Can I Do?", "acceptedAnswer": "@type": "Answer", "text": "First, know that this isn't a common problem with Disney Plus. All the content has subtitles at a frame rate that corresponds with the video frame rate. Therefore, a quick restart of the playback or the app itself usually deals with the issue. Some streaming devices might also allow you to change the frame rate manually, which can temporarily fix the issue. But as the video progresses, the subtitles might drop out of sync again. This goes double if you're trying to use third-party subtitles. When streaming content via mobile devices, you should ensure that the operating system and the app are up-to-date. Otherwise, the subtitles might trail behind the audio and vice versa.
